Inclusive Leadership in Action: Perspectives from Across the Actuarial Profession

Inclusive leadership is more than creating a welcoming environment—it requires leaders to understand different experiences, challenge assumptions, and create opportunities for people to contribute fully. But what does that actually look like for actuaries leading teams, organizations, and our profession? Drawing on perspectives from the Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries (SAGAA), Network of Actuarial Women and Allies (NAWA), International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA), Abacus Actuaries, and Organization of Latino Actuaries (OLA), this panel will explore the real-world challenges and opportunities leaders encounter when building inclusive teams. Expect an honest conversation about what leaders can do, what they may overlook, and how small changes in leadership behavior can make a meaningful difference.
