Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming part of the consulting toolkit, creating new opportunities to improve efficiency, analyze information, and enhance client service. At the same time, the use of AI raises important professionalism considerations related to confidentiality, data security, disclosure, reliance on AI-generated content, and the actuary's responsibility for work products delivered to clients. This session at the CCA Professionalism Forum will explore how actuarial standards of conduct and professional judgment apply when AI tools are incorporated into consulting engagements including client communications, data handling, and report preparation.

This interactive session at the CCA Professionalism Forum works through a series of complex professionalism scenarios using audience polling and role play by the panel. Participants will examine how the Code of Professional Conduct applies in practice, along with relevant Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs), Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline (ABCD) guidance, and other professional standards as appropriate.
