This actuary’s journey began with dreams of journalism at Mizzou—but a stats class and a helpful advisor at the University of Texas set her on a new path. With a math degree and a growing interest in actuarial science, she found a rewarding career that’s led to leadership, mentorship, and lasting impact.
Along the way, she’s heard some funny assumptions (no, actuarial work isn’t related to mortuaries!), found joy in volunteering with CCA, and values the diverse roles of a consulting actuary—from problem solver to mentor to project manager.
