Women Making History. Leadership Interview with Sandy Lowe

March 21, 2024

In February 1980, President Jimmy Carter proclaimed the week of March 8, 1980 as National Women's History Week. In 1987, Congress first designated March as Women's History Month, which is a celebration of women's contributions to history, culture and society. This year the theme is "Women Making History Champions of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion."

In honor of Women's History Month and consistent with this year's theme, Michael Clark, host of the Leadership Interview Series, talks with Sandy Lowe, President and co-founder of the Network of Actuarial Women and Allies (NAWA). In segment two, Sandy shares how she and the organization strive to increase equity and representation of women in the actuarial profession, create a sense of community amongst women and provide opportunities for personal and professional development.
