Presidential Reflections from the CCA Annual Meeting in Las Vegas
Greetings from Las Vegas!
I’m thrilled to share the first installment of my presidential series, inspired by my CCA Annual Meeting experience in Las Vegas. The energy in the halls, the conversations happening around every corner, and the collective excitement of our members remind me why this gathering is such an important touchpoint for our profession. It’s always a privilege to be part of this event—whether you're presenting, attending sessions, or reconnecting with colleagues.
Over the years, I’ve made it a point during each Annual Meeting to attend at least one session outside my usual areas of expertise—whether that’s executive compensation, global benefits, or another unfamiliar niche. Stretching ourselves in this way broadens our perspective and strengthens our understanding of the diverse landscape within which actuaries operate. If you have the opportunity to join us in person, I encourage you to try the same: expand your horizons, try something new. You might be surprised by how much inspiration you find in new topics.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I look forward to reconnecting with you in the months ahead.
