The Conference of Consulting Actuaries offered a Small Consulting Firms & Practices Roundtable on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 13 following the Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar in Boston, MA. This roundtable focused on running and marketing a small business.

The discussion was led by Conference members with multiple years of consulting experience who run successful smaller consulting firms. The roundtable was appropriate for actuaries currently at smaller consulting firms, actuaries thinking about starting a consulting firm, and actuaries planning to consult part-time after retirement. Much of the discussion applied to small consulting practices at large firms as well.
