John H. Moore, FSA, MAAA, FCA, EA is the COO and chief actuary for The Terry Group and the former secretary-treasurer for the American Academy of Actuaries. Prior to joining The Terry Group, John served as the chief actuary for the retirement consulting units of Aon Hewitt, JPMorgan, and CCA Strategies, and was responsible for the firms' positions on technical and professionalism matters. He is based in Denver, Colorado and has over 25 years experience consulting on retirement plans. John is also the former vice president, pensions of the Academy and is a member of the Blue, Gray, and Green Book Committee for the annual Enrolled Actuaries Meeting. John is heavily involved in his community of Englewood, Colorado, serving on its pension, water and sewer, and budget advisory boards.
