Jim Donofrio is the Chief Negotiating Actuary for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. He manages the talented group of actuaries who work with pension plans that present issues to the PBGC, ranging from the distress termination of single-employer plans to partitions of multiemployer plans. Prior to joining PBGC, Jim spent over 30 years in pension consulting, primarily to corporate plan sponsors. Jim is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary and a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta GA.
