US-Based Actuarial Organizations Form Profession-Wide Task Force
(4/25/2012) The Council of US Presidents (CUSP), comprised of the Presidents and Presidents-Elect of the US-Based Actuarial Organizations, has agreed to form a profession-wide task force.
CCA Statements Regarding the Proposed Joint Discipline Process
(9/26/2011) By an overwhelming margin of 93.25% in favor, the Conference's Membership has endorsed the Bylaws amendments proposed by the Board of Directors. After all five US actuarial organizations Bylaws amendment results are published, the Presidents intend to communicate in a joint statement to members regarding implementation of the Joint Discipline Process.

2012 Super Gray Book Now Available
(4/11/2012) The Conference of Consulting Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries are pleased to announce the availability of the 2012 "Gray Book." Released at the annual Enrolled Actuaries Meeting, the "Gray Book" is an essential compendium of questions from actuaries and answers from the IRS. The Super Gray Book CD-ROM, consisting of the complete set of "Gray Books" from 1990-2012, with a searchable index to the twenty-three-year set, is available for $125 per copy.
CCA and Conference Members Working to Expand Teen Financial Literacy
(1/1/2012) In partnership with the Actuarial Foundation, the CCA is contributing to a member matching gift program which introduces the essentials of personal finance to high school students. Since the program was announced by current CCA President Adam Reese at our 2010 Annual Meeting, the Conference has matched your generous donations providing classroom sets of the Building Your Future financial literacy curriculum to 48 teachers who will impact scores of students.
SOA Releases New Living to 100 Symposium Monograph
(1/1/2012) Papers presented at the 2011 Living to 100 Symposium are now in an online monograph at LivingTo100.soa.org. Find papers and transcripts from the 2011 symposium covering topics including mortality modeling, measurement and trends, obesity and other factors that may affect mortality, mortality compression, predictors of exceptional longevity, slowing the aging process and implications of increasing aging populations. The transcripts of panel discussions and keynote presentations are also available in the monograph. Look for the fifth Living to 100 Symposium's call for papers coming soon.
International Actuarial Association Holding 2012 Mini-Congress in Hong Kong
(1/1/2012) A Mini-Congress of the International Actuarial Association will be held in Hong Kong from May 6 - 9, 2012. This event is being organized and hosted by the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong and will be held at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon. This Mini-Congress represents a joint collaboration of three IAA Sections, namely, International Association of Consulting Actuaries (IACA), Pension Benefits and Social Security Section (PBSS) and Health Section (IAAHS). Participation by IACA includes the Asia Pacific Association of Consulting Actuaries (APACA).
