Medical Management
Measurement

Do medical management plans really “work?” Employers, health
plans, and the consultants who work with them put forth tremendous efforts
to answer this question. But do we believe the results? Speakers at this seminar focus
on common and uncommon methods used in the industry to measure the impact of
programs ranging from wellness to condition management.
Case studies are presented along with the solution that was
delivered to the client. The audience has the opportunity to critique each
solution, and then hear recommendations from an experienced panel. Case
studies addressing the major issues faced such as: Do we have the right
data? Is the method defensible? Are we reporting the right things to our
client? Along the way, the panel incorporates not only fundamental actuarial
and client consulting principles, but also DMAA’s (Disease Management
Association of America) latest guidelines on measuring programs of this
nature.
