Bill Hallmark is a Consulting Actuary for Cheiron with 30 years of experience consulting to pension plans. Prior to joining Cheiron in 2009, he was a Principal for Mercer. Bill consults to large public sector pension and retiree medical plans. He is co-author of "New Retirement Plan Designs for the 21st Century" which was presented as part of the SOA's Retirement 2020 project. He is also co-author of "How Much Investment Risk Can a Government Sponsored Pension Plan Afford?" which was presented at the SOA Public Pension Finance Symposium in 2009. Bill currently serves as Vice President of Pensions of the American Academy of Actuaries. Previously, he was chair of the Academy's Public Plans Subcommittee.
