Pamela Everhart is a senior vice president of Benefit Policy Development and Thought Leadership for Personal and Workplace Investing (“PWI”), a workplace investing business of Fidelity Investments. In this role, Pamela leads PWI’s external retirement legislative advocacy and benefit policy development efforts. She supports Fidelity’s public policy and governmental relations efforts in engaging federal and state lawmakers and administration officials around key retirement policy issues and positions. She also partners with Fidelity’s client-facing teams to engage employers on their views regarding legislative and regulatory retirement initiatives.

As a 17-year Fidelity veteran, Pamela has led the PWI compliance team for the company’s retirement and HR outsourcing services and products provided to corporate, tax exempt and governmental employers. She coordinated with Fidelity business partners, Corporate Legal and Fidelity Governmental Affairs to analyze legislative proposals and develop creative solutions relating to retirement, health and welfare and other employee benefit- related policy issues. Her team was also responsible for educating plan sponsor clients regarding legislative and regulatory developments. She has held the position of Associate General Counsel, responsible for legal issues arising from the company's management of retirement plan assets, including application of federal tax laws, regulations, and rulings.

Pamela has worked closely with senior federal and state government officials on numerous pension and retirement policy issues and retirement regulatory matters. She has served as the mutual fund representative to the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee, where she advised senior IRS officials on a wide range of tax reporting issues.

Pamela received a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School, where she was an Assistant Managing Editor on the Harvard Women’s Law Journal.
