Jerry Dubner passed away at Hospice Atlanta on December 28. He was born in New York and ran cross-country at Yale University, graduating in 1979. He continued to run after graduation, completing 50 marathons, including 21 consecutive Boston Marathons. Jerry was a Member of the Society of Enrolled Actuaries. He worked at PwC in Atlanta for nearly his entire career, retiring as a Managing Director. For 30 years, he was an Atlanta Braves season ticket holder Jerry was active in community service across a range of organizations, including the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Girls on the Run, and the Virginia-Highlands Summerfest. He logged over 300 platelet donations with Atlanta Red Cross. His deepest involvement was through the Atlanta Track Club. He volunteered at hundreds of events, including 35 years of the AJC Peachtree Road Race, where he was a crew chief at the finish line. The Atlanta Track Club honored him with their highest community service award in 2016. He is survived by his spouse Kate Gaboardi, his mother Francis Dubner, his brother Steven, his sister Nancy Teich, and his goddaughter Charlotte Folinus. In lieu of flowers, Jerry would prefer donations to the Atlanta Community Food Bank or Hospice Atlanta.
